Here are a few ways you can find target customers to interview via social media. If you're researching consumers with a certain hobby, habit, or interest, then chances are they hang out online in groups on that topic.
Places to check:
Easy to search, and it's not hard to post a request and reach out to interested parties via messenger. Easy to search by hobbies, and Facebook has been pushing groups more lately, so their popularity has improved.
I don't fully understand Reddit, but it's simply to search by topic. Find a few subreddits that match the interests of your target customer, and share your number / email to let others reach out to you.
Slack Groups are mainly for professional topics and engineering, but you can search for public groups on engines like Standuply.
Discord Groups are mainly for video games, but some are made for different topics. You can search for them in a similar way with an engine like Disboard.
If you're willing to spend a little money, you can set up a few Facebook ads and link them to an online form like Typeform or Google Forms. Then, reach out to anyone that responded and interview them.
It ends up requiring a bit of testing, but if you want to use this strategy reach out to me, I can help.
