I use LinkedIn for everything - it's especially useful because you can so highly segment search results. If you're reaching out to professionals or key individuals in target businesses, LinkedIn can be incredibly helpful.
Here's how I search:
Step 1: Click the search bar and select "People."
Step 2: Select "All Filters" on the far right under the search bar.
Step 3: Scroll down and type in your target job position into the "Title" bar.
Step 4: Click enter, and begin connecting with people that fit the job description you want.
Some best practices:
- In step 3, also select "English" or whatever languages you're proficient you're at so you can ensure you're reaching out to people you can communicate with.
- You can further niche down your search by selecting your target "Industry" - so if you're reaching out to SaaS sales managers for interviews, type "Sales Manager" into "Title" and "SaaS" or "Software" into "Industry"
- You can automate outreach via tools like Phantombuster - reach out to me if that's something you need help with.
- Check LinkedIn Groups too. In the first step you can just click "Groups" and find groups of similar people or job functions.
- Check LinkedIn Events - it's a relatively new feature of theirs, but it's gaining a lot of traction. You can search the same way you look for groups
